16th October 1994 - Daring rescue at McDonalds

In a piece of street theatre to mark Animal World’s Anti-MacDonalds Day and the 20th anniveresary of MacDonalds operating in the UK, Reggie the Veggie Clown rescues Clover the Cow from Evil Ron. Around 30 locals, animal rights and Earth First! Activists tour three MacDonalds branches, returning MacDonalds rubbish collected over the previous week to the branches which they dub MuckDonalds.

The protest also aims to demonstrate that activists will not be cowed (boom boom!)/intimidated by the heavy-handed tactics being used to prosecute the McLibel Two, who don’t get Legal Aid [WHY?] and are conducting their own defence.
